The Opera Columbus Academy brings opera and arts education to all through its diverse educational activities and community outreach programs. Designed for individuals of all ages and abilities, participants experience the multi-faceted world of opera and its many components through music, drama, literature, dance, and visual art. It is our goal to "demystify" opera and create a better understanding of this vibrant, visceral art form and how it relates to our lives and history. We believe that learning about opera is a life-long process and that by showcasing the young and developing talent in our area as well as involving learners of all ages and backgrounds in programs that educate and entertain, we are building the audiences of the future and shaping the lives of the present.
