Bring opera into your school with an exciting program that presents professional opera singers and students together on stage in an abridged version of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance.
The featured opera will captivate and entertain students as they learn that keeping one’s word is the right thing to do even when times get tough. Opera Columbus offers schools a one-hour, in-school student workshop on the day of the performance and helps up to 30 students perform as part of the chorus.
The program also provides a comprehensive Resource Guide, a rehearsal CD and a teacher's copy of the children's chorus music in advance.
SCHEDULING INFO: Performances run 45-50 minutes and require a tuned piano in the performance space.
FEE: $550 single performance; $800 double performance (back-to-back); $1,000 for two performances in the same day that are not back-to back.
