American bass Alex Rosen is quickly finding a home in the concert, operatic, and song repertoire, in the US and abroad. Recent engagements include Semele with Opera Philadelphia and L’orfeo with the Nederlandse Reisopera. This year, he will reprise his role as Seneca in L’incoronazione di Poppea with Festival Aix-en-Provence and begin next season as Dottore Grevil in La Traviata with Opéra National de Bordeaux. Alex will collaborate throughout the season with pianist Michał Biel, with whom he won 2nd prize in the 2018 International Hugo Wolf Academy Competition. Alex is a native of La Cañada, California.
