Roger Stephens was an impactful figure in the opera scene in Columbus. A singer himself, he served on the faculties of The Ohio State University, University of Nebraska, Washington State University, North Texas University, and Ohio University. A native Ohioan, he served as director for productions with Columbus Light Opera, then continued with the company to direct with Opera Columbus. A lifelong opera aficionado, Roger devoted himself to teaching the next generation of artists.
