Brian Banion’s combination of physical and vocal acting combined with his well-projected bass-baritone voice are demonstrated in a wide repertory. This season includes a return to Piedmont Opera as Dulcamara in L’Elisir d’Amore, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Springfield Symphony, and a return to Indianapolis Opera as Leporello in Don Giovanni. Last season included a return to Piedmont Opera as Lieutenant Horstmayer in Silent Night, Ramfis in Aida with the Columbus Symphony, Emile deBecque in South Pacific with Indianapolis Opera, and Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia with The Lyric Opera of Kansas City.
Additionally, I have performed the following roles with Opera Columbus:
Cascada, Merry Widow
Leporello, Don Giovanni
Marquis, La Traviata
Laurent, Romeo and Juliet
Nourabad, Pearl Fishers
Zuniga, Carmen
