John David Nevergall’s formal music training began with a focus upon classical and jazz percussion. His emphasis on vocal music started only after he completed much of his graduate education. Since that time, John David has appeared in operas and concert performances around the United States, including two previous engagements with Opera Columbus (Rodolfo, La Bohème, 2012-13 — Goro, Madama Butterfly, 2013). John David is an alumnus of the Boston University Opera Institute, where he was a student of Jerrold Pope.
