Canadian mezzo−soprano Mireille Lebel grew up in Vancouver and studied music at the University of Toronto and University of Montreal. Following her studies she furthered her artistic training as a member of the Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal. In 2009, she was a winner of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques Competition that earned her an invitation to join the Ensemble of Theater Erfurt. She is now making critically successful debuts with opera companies and orchestras in Europe and North America.
Recently she sang with Tafelmusik Orchestra, Arion Baroque Orchestra, I Musici de Montréal, Kansas City Symphony, Saguenay and Calgary Symphony Orchestras. On stage she made her debut in Italy in Jesi and was invited by Vancouver Opera, Opera Atelier Toronto, Opera de Montreal, Boston Early Music Festival,Theater Basel, Prague Opera, Opéra-théâtre de Metz, Opéra de Massy, Opéra de Nice, Opéra de Tours, Nantes-Angers Opera, Festival d’Aix en Provence…
