01.12.2021 | 12:00PM-12:45PM After serving 5 and 7 years of incarceration respectively, Aimee Wissman and Kamisha Thomas decided to co-found the Returning Artists Guild (RAG). Both, self-taught artists and filmmakers, wanted to extend the feelings of community and camaraderie they felt while they were incarcerated. Creating and facilitating art groups on the inside laid the foundation for what is now the RAG.
