Suzan Bradford is the newly appointed Executive Director of the Lincoln Theatre. She joined the team that rebirth the historical site in 2009 as the first General Manager since it re opening. Under her creative vision and direction, the Lincoln Theatre has seven mission driven programs that reflects the nostalgia of the theatre and the innovative programming that is about the artist and the audience.
Bradford’s passion is driven by her 30 years as a dancer, instructor and creative director of traditional West African dance music and culture. Her extensive study, training and travel aboard, has empowered enhanced and educated varied audiences of the richness of this art form and moving it into a valid artform of collegiate study.
Suzan acknowledges that Organizations, conversation bars, and programs are beginning to develop to address the need to be inclusive, however, there is a visible divide of comfort when discussing or planning paid art making opportunities and supporting local artist. Although her position is titled, she considers herself the COO, the Chief Officer of Opportunity for creatives.
